Del Amitri

DelAmitri

The least known and my most favorite Del Amitri album was their first. Released in 1985 with its crisp fast almost classical guitar work, and sharp witted lyrics hard coded into 10 three to four minute bites, it’s perfect for a quick 3 or 4 mile sprint. Listen for yourself.

Copperhead Road

SteveEarle

Steve Earle helped bridged the gap between the southern fried rock of the 70s and the country rock revival of the 90s. Copperhead Road was the perfect alternative blueprint. At the time, Earle came out of left field singing and playing with grit, grease and a sharp edge that foreshadowed his addictions and his own eventual trip down the road of self-destruction.
