YES-fragile

Yesterday the music industry lost one of the greatest bass players to ever pick up the ax. Chris Squire founding member and cornerstone of the band Yes died of a rare form of leukemia in Phoenix, Arizona on Saturday.

“It’s with the heaviest of hearts and unbearable sadness that we must inform you of the passing of our dear friend and Yes co-founder, Chris Squire,” said a statement on the band’s official website.

Squire was born in Kingsbury, north-west London and was the only member of the group to feature on every studio album. The band is currently touring North America and has continued to put out great albums well into the 2000’s.
